They have a privacy policy that expressly confirms that they keep users anonymous, either by not collecting personally identifiable information (such as name, email or phone number) or by keeping it separate from information about user behavior and interests.

They have confirmed that they do not target advertising based on certain sensitive categories: Social Security Numbers or other Government-issued identifiers, insurance plan numbers, financial account numbers, precise real-time geographic location; precise information about past, present, or potential future health or medical conditions or treatments.

They provide choice.

They provide users with the ability to opt-out of receiving behaviorally-based ad targeting.

They are subject to oversight.

They are a member in good standing of the Network Advertising Initiative, and as such are subject to annual technical and policy reviews to confirm compliance with NAI standards.
